PERRIS – Two men and a woman suspected in a series of thefts targeting retail outlets throughout Riverside County were behind bars today.
Dloreen Jae Lachesky, 22, Camilo Rivera, 42, and Eric Lee Rivera, 35 — all of Perris — were arrested Wednesday following a monthlong investigation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The Riveras were each arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and burglary and are being held in lieu of $5,000 bail at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta. Lachesky was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of illegal drugs and felony evading. She’s being held in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside.
According to sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Elwell, the trio are suspected of stealing from grocery and hardware stores, as well as pharmacies, in Corona, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Murrieta and Perris.
Investigators said the thefts occurred over the last six weeks. After gathering sufficient evidence, authorities obtained search warrants and executed them at two different residences in the Perris area — 546 Water Ave. and 29575 Archibek Drive. Camilo Rivera and Lachesky were taken into custody at the latter property, while Eric Rivera was arrested at the other one.
Elwell said some of the merchandise stolen during the burglaries was seized at the suspects’ houses.
