Two men arrested for commercial burglary

TEMECULA (SHERIFFS PRESS RELEASE) – On February 20th, 2014, at around 3:50 a.m., officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at a business complex in the 27200 block of Madison Ave, city of Temecula.

Responding officers deployed around the business complex and observed two male suspects attempt to flee from a business by running away on foot. The suspects were detained by the responding officers as they attempted to hide under a nearby parked car. The investigation revealed three businesses had extensive property damage as the suspects attempted to gain entry into the building. Three of the businesses had been forcibly broken into by the suspects. The location was checked for additional suspects; however, none were located. A surveillance camera video system captured the actions of the suspects and both men were arrested without incident.

Both suspects, Rayford Norris – male, black, 46 years of age from Rubidoux, CA and Danny Harris – black, male, 50 years of age from Santa Ana, CA were later booked into the Southwest Detention Center on five counts of commercial burglary and felony vandalism.
