RIVERSIDE – In Temecula, two motorists were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and three vehicles were towed during the checkpoint at Rancho California Road and Butterfield Stage that began at noon Saturday and ended 9 p.m. Saturday.
During the checkpoint, five motorists who were unlicensed or had suspended licenses were sent to court.
Five people were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in total and nine vehicles in total were towed during overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoints in San Jacinto and Temecula, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said today.
On Esplanade and San Jacinto avenues, three motorists were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and six vehicles were towed during a checkpoint that began at 7 p.m. Saturday and ended today at 3 a.m., according to a department statement.
In addition. 10 ten unlicensed drivers were sent to court, according to the department statement.
