Friday, August 1st, 2008. Issue 31, Volume 12. Story Last Updated : Jul 27th. Frederick Carpenter Widmann, Jr., 71, passed away Sunday, July 27, in Granbury, TX. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Widmann was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Arcadia, CA, to Frederick C. Widmann, Sr. and Nancy Healy Widmann. He married Carole Gieniec on Aug. 12, 1995, in Lake Elsinore. He formerly lived in Murrieta and had lived in Granbury for the past two-and-a-half years. Widmann was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church and retired from Pacific Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and the Racers for Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty. Survivors include wife Carole Widmann, Granbury; son Jeffrey Widmann, New Braunfels, TX; stepchildren Jeffrey White and wife Michelle, Bethany, OK, Melissa Nelson and husband Roger, Coleman, TX, Christopher White and wife Claudia, Rockwall, TX, Julie McCarty and husband Fred, Grapevine, TX, and Robert White, Irving, TX; 21 grandchildren; brother Edward Widmann, Denver, CO; and sister Nancy Stevens, Walnut Creek, CA.
