LAKE ELSINORE - Two people were trapped today when a car overturned on Ortega Highway in Lake Elsinore and blocked the eastbound lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car overturned and landed on its side in the eastbound lane about 4:10 p.m. on State Route 74 about two miles west of Grand Avenue, a California Highway Patrol official said.

The two people inside the vehicle were not moving, according to the CHP. The eastbound lane was closed, although traffic was still being let through.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
