The Anza Hamilton High School cafeteria was packed with athletes, parents and siblings. The school recently held its basketball awards banquet to honor the young men and women who played their hearts out this year.

The Feb. 26 event was also a farewell event for longtime coach Bob Tuxson.

Tuxson, who coached the boys’ varsity basketball team, will be leaving for Figi to join his wife and accept a position as a professor on the island.

for first place in the Big Sky League.

According to Williams, this year’s varsity girls basketball team had the best record in Hamilton history. Their record included a 9 and 0 record for games played on their home court.

Hamilton boasted the most All League Players chosen out of the Big Sky League.

An amazing banquet, furnished by the athletes’ parents, graced four tables of fantastic food. Cheers resounded as each players’ faces came up on the screen of the slide show presented after dinner.
