Race across Temecula will help support local cyclist training for Race Across America

Local cyclist Jen Orr is back on the bike, literally. Orr, a resident of Murrieta, is no stranger to long bike rides; in fact, she is the 24-Hour Time Trial and Race Across the West champion. Currently, Orr is training for the next big step, which is this year’s Race Across America. The race is a 3,000-mile solo trip from Oceanside to Annapolis, Maryland, beginning June 16.Not only has Orr been training day in and day out, but her fundraising team has planned a community bike ride, titled “Race Across Temecula,” Saturday, Feb. 29, as part of their effort to reach the budget needed for RAAM.“Saturday’s race, even though it’s not really a race per say, will have routes of 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles,” Orr said.Proceeds from the event will support the fundraisin
