MURRIETA – A detainee died while in custody at a Murrieta jail, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported today. Jail personnel found an unresponsive person at 7:20 p.m. Friday in a holding cell of the Southwest Detention Center, said Sgt. Wallace Clear of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
