Riverside County firefighters are blocking the intersection of Fairview and Stetson avenues, just southeast of Hemet, where thunderstorms unloaded torrential rain and flooded the roadways, making them dangerous to cross.A battalion chief at the scene has requested that the county Department of Transportation close the intersection until the waters recede.
