2 teens arrested for fight at high school in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - Two teenage girls were arrested for allegedly getting into a brawl at a Moreno Valley high school, sheriff's officials said Saturday.
School administrators notified a Riverside County sheriff's deputy assigned to Valley View High School about 1:50 p.m. Friday that an assault had occurred on campus, said Sgt. Victor Tejeda.
"The students approached each other prior to going to class and began fighting,'' he said.
The 16-year-old students were arrested and booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of committing battery on school grounds.
Neither of the girls were injured in the fight.
However, a recent spate of violence at Moreno Valley schools has raised concern from parents.
