Before the crisis surrounding COVID-19, the Southwestern League boys’ basketball coaches and Herschel Ramirez, athletic director of Great Oak High School, met to go over the selections for the First and Second All-League teams. The first-place team always hosts the meeting with their school’s athletic director, which went the way of the Wolfpack this year.

Based on where the SWL team placed also determines how many of the 12 overall selections each team will get. Great Oak showcased the league’s MVP, which was junior Damien Adame and with their first-place finish, they were also granted three selections overall (two First Team, one Second Team). Murrieta Mesa, Murrieta Valley and Temecula Valley high school received two selections (one First Team, one Second Team) and Chaparral and Vista Murrieta high school had one player each (Second Team selections).
