7 restaurants, local high school students to compete in ‘Battle of the Burgers’ at Pechanga

Seven Temecula-area restaurants will duke it out for the title of “best burger” during  the Battle of the Burgers contest at Pechanga Resort Casino next weekend.Crush and Brew, Café Champagne, Cork Fire Kitchen, Devilicious Eatery, Mad Madeline’s Grill, Matt G’s and Siggy’s will compete in the event Saturday, Oct. 19, co-sponsored by Pechanga Resort Casino, Temecula Valley Unified School District and Visit Temecula Valley.Local high school culinary students will also team up with Pechanga chefs – with the students as executive chefs and the professionals as sous chefs – to compete for the best custom loaded fries, Visit Temecula Valley representative Annette Brown said.While third-year students compete, other Temecula Valley Unified School District Career Techni
