An Open Letter from Murrieta Councilmember Jonathan Ingram

Jonathan Ingram

Friends, I appreciate all of you who’ve reached out over the last few days.

You’ve expressed concern, and you’ve asked many questions about what occurred Dec. 17, at the council reorganization meeting. Please let this serve as my brief response.

Know that I’m not interested in an extended social media dialogue on this subject. At the city’s Dec. 17 council reorganization meeting, Gene Wunderlich was selected as the new mayor of Murrieta by a majority city council vote.

First, I would like to congratulate Gene on this new role. I know that he shares my passion and commitment to Murrieta. I look forward to working together with him and my fellow council members this next year for this city that I love.

Friends, know that I am committed to moving forward productively. I will continue to offer my very best in advocating for you, the residents of our great city. Thank you for your continued support. As we head into 2020, our city council is unified and focused on a bright future. Together we deliver a range of attributes and perspectives from the dais. This unity makes us stronger.

Lastly, my promise to our constituents is that we will continue to collaborate, work hard, and prioritize what is best for the city and its residents, because that’s what matters most.

Jonathan Ingram

Murrieta City Councilmember
