Cars, trucks and even tractors, motorcycles and other specialty vehicles will be on display at the Anza Country Car Show Saturday, April 18.
Sponsored by the Anza Civic Improvement League, the event will be held at Minor Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Show organizers have included trophy categories for cars, trucks, hot rods, street rods, antiques, tractors, off road machines and a new category for the best in-progress project vehicle.
ACIL President Charles Cadwell said that vehicles are only a part of this community event.
“While the vehicles will be the highlight of the show, there will be much more going on including The Anza 500 Pinewood Derby for kids, a corn hole tournament, a cakewalk, raffles, a beer garden, food vendors and live music,” he said. “This will be the biggest community event in Anza this spring. We hope everyone comes out and has a great time.”
ACIL secretary Debbi Vesey said that sponsor participation has been outstanding. Anza Gas, Valley Auto and more local businesses have signed up to sponsor trophies.
“Many local businesses and groups have signed on as trophy sponsors. Others are providing products, gift cards and gift certificates to support the raffles and prizes for the various events taking place during the show,” she said.
This year, the displayed vehicles will be located along both sides of Contreras Road with events, vendors and food stands located within the adjacent Minor Park.
