The pandemic is not dampening the Halloween spirits in Anza this year. The community is making plans to safely conduct the annual celebration for both young and old Saturday, Oct. 31.

Community businesses and organizations have invited masked trick or treaters to come to a drive-thru trunk or treat event at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anza by Minor Park from 4-6 p.m. for fun and candy.

Families can drop off decorated pumpkins at the church by 4 p.m. for judging and prizes. Hotdogs, chips and drinks will be available.

Additionally, businesses located along Highway 371 will also be participating in the festivities.

The Anza Civic Improvement League is hosting a movie at Minor Park at 6:30 p.m. A spooky, child-friendly film will be presented.

“Decorate your car or truck and join us for a spooktacular evening,” organizer Robin Garrison said.
