With about 1,110,065 voters registered in Riverside County ahead of the 2020 presidential primary election, Tuesday, March 3, Anza, Aguanga and Lake Riverside Estates residents arrived at the polling places to decide several important contests.

Countywide, 902,835 ballots in 817 precincts were issued and 339,537 votes cast, according to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

Voters both young and old participated in the election, some registering and voting for the first time Tuesday.

Polling place workers sealed the ballot boxes at 8 p.m. and spent additional hours packing, sorting and securing the ballots for transport to Riverside to be tallied. Sheriff’s deputies received the boxes at each polling place and released them to personnel at the Riverside County Registrar of Voters later that evening.
