Feb. 20 – Noon. The Brown Bag Lunch Workshop. This monthly education series offered by The Highway 371 Business Association will focus on “Be Business Savvy about Basic Sales and Use Tax.” Attends will learn if they need a seller’s permit, how to prepare a return, maintaining adequate records, using a resale certificate, supporting and reporting exempt sales and more. RSVP to office@hwy371ba.com or (951) 763-8630. April 18 – 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Anza Country Car Show at Minor Park. Cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and other specialty vehicles will be on display at the Anza Country Car Show sponsored by the Anza Civic Improvement League. Trophy categories for cars, trucks, hot rods, street rods, antiques, tractors, off road machines and a new category for the best in-progress project vehicle. ONGOING – Anza Electric and Find Food Bank Free Mobile Food Pantry. The Find Food Mobile Food Pantry happens the second Saturday of every month at the Anza Electric Cooperative office from 10:30-11:30 a.m. All are welcome. Cal-Fresh application assistance and Free community health services also available. Bring your own reusable bags to take food home. Volunteers welcome. ONGOING – Bark 4 Books meets Saturdays from 1-2p.m. The program is more for children, but every age group is welcome. A certified therapy German shepherd comes in for children or adults to read to, which helps strengthen their reading skills and gives confidence to those who need it.
