Anza VFW Post 1873 and Auxiliary to host bake sale

The Anza Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1873 and Auxiliary announced a reminder that the Auxiliary is holding a bake sale during dinner Friday, Jan. 31, during Pat Jordan’s winter stew dinner. Requests have been made for more pies. But they will accept any baked goods residents are willing to donate.

Meals and activities for February 2020 are:

Feb. 2 – Amy’s biscuits and gravy, eggs to order, sausage, fruit, sweet rolls, fruit

Feb. 7 – Amy’s roast pork, rice pilaf, veggies, salad, dessert

Feb. 8 – Auxiliary meeting, 10 a.m.

Feb. 9 – Cham’s omelets made to order, hash browns, toast, fruit, orange juice

Feb. 14 – Laurie’s special Valentine’s dinner: smoked tri-tip, Haasselback potatoes, veggies, au gratin, rolls, salad, chocolate and strawberry tart

If you don’t know what Hasselback potatoes are, you’ll just have to come down and find out for yourself.

Friday Dinner – 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday – Canteen opens at 4 p.m.

Wednesday is potluck night.

Thursday and Saturday – $1 hot dogs with all the fixings

Meals are open to everyone; you don’t have to be a member

All meals include coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
