Barn fire reported in La Cresta area near Murrieta

Firefighters were responding to a barn fire in La Cresta early Monday afternoon. According to a tweet from the Riverside County Fire Department, fire crews were at the scene of a "well-involved" fire at a two-story barn in the 38400 block of Avenida Bonita, west of Murrieta near the Cleveland National Forest, as of 12:42 p.m. The fire was first reported at 12:17 p.m., an six engines, two chief officers a water tender and a medic squad were part of the response team. The Murrieta Fire Department was also assisting, according to Riverside County Fire. Firefighters had the blaze contained at 1:16 p.m., the Riverside County Fire Department said in a subsequent tweet.
