TEMECULA – Visit Temecula Valley, Pechanga Resort Casino and Temecula Valley Unified School District will hold their annual Battle of the Burgers and Loaded Fries competition Saturday, Oct. 19, at Pechanga Resort Casino.
All Temecula Valley restaurants are invited to compete and help raise funds for TVUSD high school Career Technical Education program. Registration and more information can be found at www.VisitTemeculaValley.com/battle-of-the-burgers or call (951) 491-6085.
Temecula Valley restaurants will compete for the best burger, while the students will pair with Pechanga chefs to create their custom “loaded fries.” The public will taste all the burgers and fries then vote for their favorites. There will be People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice winners, selected by the public and professional Southern California food critics and writers.
Tickets will be on sale soon at Temecula Valley High School and online at www.VisitTemeculaValley.com/battle-of-the-burgers. Tickets will sell for $20 presale, $25 at the door if available; students and seniors $15, children under five are free.
Proceeds from the event support the TVUSD culinary department through the CTE program by providing food handler cards and certifications so they can pursue a career in the culinary industry.
