Chalk artists to go patriotic in Murrieta

A sidewalk section in Murrieta’s Town Square Park will turn red, white and blue starting Saturday, Nov. 9, as artists arrive to produce a patriotic chalk art display as part of the 2019 Murrieta Field of Honor. Visitors will be able to watch on Saturday and Sunday as the artists complete their intricate works, competing for the top prizes while showing their loyalty in the various patriotic scenes they are painting. The Murrieta Field of Honor, now in its 11th year, is produced by the Rotary Club of Murrieta, in partnership with the City of Murrieta. The display of 2,000 plus flags adjacent to the city’s iconic Veterans Memorials and statuesque Obelisk will dominate the park from Saturday, Nov. 9 until Sunday, Nov. 16.
