Hundreds of people gathered at Diamond Stadium in Lake Elsinore for the city’s annual Veterans Day Observance ceremony.There ceremony began with a moment of prayer led by the Rev. Fred Rodriguez of Elsinore First Assembly Church followed by a flag raising ceremony by Elsinore High School ROTC and the national anthem sung by Sandy Dickinson.During the veterans’ recognition, which included a performance by the Elsinore Middle School Band, local veterans announced the 2019 memorial brick honorees.Keynote speakers for the event included Tony Freedman, Jim Hummel and Julie Hayes.Kim Harris can be reached by email at valleyeditor@reedermedia.com.
