Pickup plows into abandoned building in Menifee during police pursuit

MENIFEE (CNS) - A suspect fleeing from Menifee police today crashed through the wall of an abandoned building, but no injuries were reported. The crash was reported about 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Highway 74, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The agency said that several engine crews were sent to the location and found a utility pickup partially inside the vacant single-story commercial structure. Menifee police officers had been chasing the driver of the vehicle, but the circumstances weren't immediately clear. It was unknown whether the suspect was arrested or fled on foot after the crash.
