MURRIETA – A pink and red modern Valentine’s Day party with live music was held Tuesday, Feb. 14, sponsored by Cornerstone Women’s Healthcare of Murrieta from 3:30-5:30 pm at the Chapel Coffee Campus, 24941 Washington Avenue, in Murrieta. The invitation read, “Kids Bring Mom on a Valentine’s Day Date,” and the invitation was extended to Community Outreach Ministry’s Angel Tree children. The party was arranged by Dr. Michael and Karan Andersen treating the caregivers, children and families, to specialty coffees, cocoa, desserts and games at the newly opened Chapel Coffee Campus decorated by founder Faith Zember. The families felt so blessed to unite in celebrating God’s gift to everyone with the true love of God in our hearts, Janice Hare, assistant Angel Tree coordinator said.

Community Outreach Ministry’s next event is an Easter Celebration with workshops for youngsters to engage in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in small groups with Coach Bob Davies and mentors building robots from science kits Saturday, April 8, from 2-5 p.m. at the Murrieta Library, and is by invitation only.

As a volunteer-operated, nonprofit public charity organization, the Community Outreach Ministry relies heavily on funding and donations to achieve the ministry’s mission of caring, sharing and saving lives of at-risk youth in southwest Riverside County from criminal behavior and self-destruction.
