Lake Riverside Estates children were treated to a special appearance by Santa Claus Saturday, Dec. 23. The merry ole elf flew in by plane, accompanied by Mrs. Claus and an aerial parade of five aircraft. He listened intently to the Christmas wishes of LRE children, handed out candy canes and offered photo ops for the eager families.“It was a fantastic turnout of people to see Santa fly in,” said LRE resident Sabrina Drake. “The line for photos with Santa was huge and included kids of all ages. The pilots really put on a great show. My Icelandic horse Ellie had fun, made up as Rudolph. She received many treats and pats. A couple of other equestrians rode over to join the fun.
