TEMECULA – The Friends of the Temecula Libraries are having a huge used book sale Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Community Rooms A and B at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library, 30600 Pauba Road, in Temecula. Mix and match all types of books including children’s, young adult, fiction, nonfiction, books on CD, music CDs and movie DVDs for $4 per bag. Friends of the Temecula Libraries will provide the bags; bring cash or check only.

“This big a sale doesn’t happen very often,” Susan Elliott, president of the Friends of the Temecula Libraries, said. “Come on by. There will be something for everyone here. Everything is in good to excellent condition. It’s only $4 for a bag. You can’t beat this price.”

The Friends of the Temecula Libraries are residents who care about libraries and seek to promote their welfare. They are interested in preserving libraries as a source of freedom and strive to enrich our libraries’ resources by making their services better known to the community.

The success of the FOTL Bookstores has always been due to the work of volunteers, donations of books from the community and the income from membership dues. All net proceeds from sales at the two stores go to the libraries to provide extra services, materials, equipment, programs and enhancements.

FOTL is looking for outgoing energetic individuals who enjoy helping others and their community. Volunteers work three hours shifts as their schedules permit. Training is provided. Anyone who would like to make new friends in a fun environment can visit one of the bookstores and ask for a volunteer application or can download the form at http://friendsofthetemeculalibraries.org. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Membership applications may also be found on their website.

Anyone who has books or audiovisual media in good condition that they would like to donate can bring them to either bookstore. If it is a large donation, call in advance to assure that there is room to accept it. The Friends of the Temecula Libraries does not accept periodicals, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, Reader’s Digest condensed books or encyclopedias.
