Boys and Girls Club receives CID funding

The Oct. 8 meeting of the Riverside County board of supervisors included the allocation of Community Improvement Designation funding to the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest County.The supervisors’ 3-0 vote, with Chuck Washington and Manuel Perez absent, appropriated $3,500 to help cover the cost of programs at the Temecula facility.Each county supervisor has a discretionary Community Improvement Designation budget which can be allocated to nonprofit organizations, public agencies, county departments or other organizations with programs which serve the social needs of the county’s population. The recommendations must be ratified by a majority board of supervisors’ vote.The Temecula branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest County is located in the 31400 block of Via C
