A COVID-19 testing event was held at the Anza Community Hall Friday and Saturday, June 26-27. Testing was made available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Riverside County created a mobile COVID-19 testing team to easily reach certain communities. The tests administered were free of charge.
The group of nurses, EMTs and paramedics set up in Idyllwild and at the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside as well.
The test offered was designed to show whether a patient currently has COVID-19. It does not indicate any prior infection by the virus.
A constant flow of Anza residents visited the site. Results will be available five to seven days after testing.
“My son and I went and got the free COVID-19 test at the Community Hall. They took walk-ins, with no appointment necessary. You can get tested even if you don’t have COVID-19 symptoms. Thank you to all who put this together for the Anza community,” Sylvia Saenz said.
