Eat, drink and celebrate while ringing in 2020

Sadly, Dick Clark has left us. So, there’s really no good reason to be lazy by staying home and skip ringing in the New Year with fellow southwest Riverside County cohorts.

OK, there are a few – but – don’t these New Year’s Eve events and parties seem like a lot of fun?


These events are listed alphabetically, but really, we love the idea that 1909 will host a NYE 2020 Throwback Prom.

Complete with a DJ and dancing, a photo booth, ice sculptures, specialty cocktails and late-night food, there will also be a best-dressed competition and prom king and queen prizes.

The party is for ages 21 and older with valid identification, and tickets are $20, available at

Lifetime Rocker will entertain the crowd that comes out to Anthony’s Ristorante in Murrieta for New Year’s Eve. The event from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. will be hosted by the band, and reservations are required by calling (951) 677-1099.

If dancing to live DJs is your thing, don’t miss Baily’s New Year’s Eve 2020 from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at Baily’s Nightclub, 28699 Old Town Front Street in Temecula.

They will have two DJs, two dance floors, three full bars, party favors galore, complimentary Champagne and more.

A live DJ, dancing and a Champagne toast at midnight are included in the New Year’s Eve at Crush and Brew party.

Why not mix a little roller skating into your New Year’s Eve celebrations with Epic’s NYE 2020 GLOW Party hosted by Epic Rollertainment.

The party starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m. at Epic Rollertainment, 39809 Avenida Acacias in Murrieta.

Admission is $20 and includes skate rental and the party is open to all ages. Limited table seating is available for $45 for a table for four; admission not included.

Take it back, way back, at Killarney’s Roaring 20s New Year’s Eve Bash. Wait, are they going forward? We’re confused.

No, they will be taking it back to prohibition days for a night of fun from the 1920s at Killarney’s Restaurant and Irish Pub from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 32475 Temecula Parkway in Temecula.

The little ones will love the Noon Year’s Eve Balloon drop with Elsa and Anna from Disney’s “Frozen” at The Little Red Barn Playground in Murrieta.

Nobody will get the blues at the Old Town Blues Club’s New Year’s 2020 Black and White Party featuring Len Rainey and The Midnight Players. Included in the $10 entry fee are party favors and your own split of La Marca Prosecco.

If there is a headquarters for New Year’s Eve revelry, it’s Pechanga Resort Casino. Solo artists will grace guests free of charge throughout the night at Blends Coffee and Wine Bar located in the hotel lobby and at the Acorns Bar located between Paisano’s and Great Oak Steakhouse.

Ring in the New Year with Scotty Mac Band for live country music at Kelsey’s but first, grab a bite to eat at the classic All-American bar and grill serving up regular menu specials until 8:30 p.m. Each ticket, which are $50 in advance and $65 at the door, includes passed hors d’oeuvres, party favors, photo booth, and a Champagne toast to celebrate the midnight countdown.

The Eagle’s Nest’s two-room party will feature two DJs in both the Eagle’s Nest and Eagle’s View Ballroom spinning old school, 90s and early 2000’s hits. The Eagle’s Ballroom DJ will play Latin, salsa, bachata and reggae ton. Both parties are from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. VIP packages and table reservations are available. Pennypickle’s Workshop will host New Year’s Eve at noon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with tickets at $10 for children ages 18 months and older. You won’t want to miss the professor’s very special party for those too young to stay up late.

There will be a $10 per person cover charge which includes a glass of Champagne and party favors. The New Year’s Eve Ballroom Bash starts at 9 p.m. and features celebratory cocktails, late night taco bar bites and ringing in 2020 at midnight with a Champagne toast. The Sensations Band will provide live entertainment throughout the evening with their eclectic mix of classic rock, dance, jazz, pop, rhytm and blues and oldies.

Tickets are $175 per person includes two cocktails, taco bar and a Champagne toast at midnight. Vignette seating with bottle service is available for an additional $100 per person.

Friends and family of all ages are invited to Temecula’s annual New Year’s Eve Grape Drop beginning at 6 p.m. at Town Square, 41000 Main Street in Temecula.

Temecula’s custom-crafted, illuminated cluster of grapes will descend 65-feet from the third-story patio of the beautiful Civic Center clock tower.

Temecula’s signature celebration invites New Year’s Eve revelers to dance to live music, step into the fun zone, enjoy activities and welcome the New Year with two countdowns: East Coast at 9 p.m. and West Coast at midnight, both led by city officials. Fun zone activities include hat making, face painting, carnival games and a giant slide.

Bring your family, your friends, lawn chairs and warm blankets to enjoy celebrating together at this free event. Stellar, family-friendly entertainment will perform on the steps of Temecula’s City Hall.
