PERRIS (CNS) - Two vehicles involved in a collision crashed into the front of a restaurant today in Perris, injuring eight people.
The crash was reported just after 5 p.m. in the 200 block of West Fourth Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The victims were all taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, the fire department reported.
One of the vehicles went all the way into the building, according to a report from the scene. The business that was struck sustained significant damage and crews worked to shore up the structure, officials said.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department later tweeted that a man who had been driving an unreported stolen truck involved in the crash was taken into custody.
