MENIFEE – The Fair Housing Council of Riverside County Inc., a HUD-approved nonprofit housing counseling agency, is presenting a free first time homebuyer workshop Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If anyone dreams of owning their own home, attend this free workshop and learn the steps required to purchase a home, including how to qualify for first-time homebuyer benefits and programs. Learn how to access various city, county and state programs that could cover most of the costs first time homebuyers will be faced with to make a purchase. Potential homebuyers will be provided with instruction on pre-purchase decisions and how to qualify for a home loan in this informative, interactive workshop.
At the free educational workshop, attendees will learn the importance of budgeting, mortgage loan process, the home buying process, finding the right home, identifying predatory lending, how credit scores impact you and acquiring down payment assistance.
Funding partners include HUD, RCAC, Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank.
