Felon accused of killing Hemet women in DUI crash makes first court appearance
BANNING (CNS) - A 33-year-old convicted felon accused of slamming his sports sedan into a hatchback at a Hemet intersection while drunk, killing two women and seriously injuring a third, made his initial court appearance Thursday, Dec. 17.
Jesus Ernesto Rios of Downey was arrested immediately after the pre-dawn crash Saturday on Florida Avenue that fatally injured Dane Adkins-Radford and Emily Hale, both 21 and of Hemet, as well as inflicted life-threatening injuries on their friend, Alyssa Salas of Hemet.
Rios is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, along with felony driving under the influence and a sentence-enhancing great bodily injury allegation.
