WILDOMAR – A fire damaged an outbuilding at a Wildomar home Saturday night.
Multiple 911 callers reported a fire around 10:15 p.m. at a residence in the 33000 block of Central Avenue, according to Riverside County Fire Department Battalion Chief Danny Harris. At the time, it was believed there could be victims trapped by the fire.
Crews arrived on scene to find smoke and fire emanating from a 400-square-foot secondary structure on the property, with no extension to the main residence, Harris said.
Firefighters found no residents inside the outbuilding, and they were quickly able to knock the fire out. Southern California Edison was able to isolate the outbuilding’s power, so the main home is still habitable, Harris said.
Damage to the secondary building was estimated at about $40,000.
No firefighters were injured.
