MURRIETA – A fire badly damaged a Murrieta home Saturday afternoon.

The blaze was reported at 3:45 p.m. at a single-story home on Los Alamos Road just east of the Los Alamos Hills Sports Park.

Multiple fire crews responded to the home, finding it fully engulfed in flames.

Neither the responding firefighters nor the home’s residents were hurt in the blaze, a Murrieta Fire and Rescue Department dispatcher confirmed. The American Red Cross was called in to help find the residents temporary shelter, the dispatcher said.

Units remained at the scene for several hours and had left by 9:30 p.m., the dispatcher confirmed.
