Fire engulfs restaurant in Highgrove Saturday morning; flames contained by noon

HIGHGROVE (CNS) – A blaze broke out at a restaurant near Riverside on Saturday, but no one was injured.

The fire was reported at 11:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of Center Street in the unincorporated community of Highgrove, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters at the scene said that at its height the fire engulfed half of the 5,000-square-foot building.

The fire was contained at noon.
