HEMET – As the new pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Hemet, the Rev. Earl Stewart will celebrate his first service Sunday, Dec. 22, at 10:30 a.m.
Stewart’s name was submitted to the congregation by the pastor nominating committee after almost a yearlong search. A congregational meeting was held Nov. 24, at which time Stewart was voted in by the church members as their “Called Pastor.”
Stewart and his wife Lucy live in Murrieta. Lucy Stewart presently is the church’s pianist.
Stewart brings with him years of experience as a solo pastor, interim pastor, missionary and other various positions. Also, throughout his ministry he has taken a variety of continuing education programs and workshops. He is highly educated and has earned over the years a bachelor’s degree
