Manufacturers Day will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 4, in Menifee with a visit and tour of the Forterra Drainage Pipe and Product manufacturing plant at 26380 Palomar Road.
Forterra manufactures everything from precast concrete manholes to large storm sewer pipes. The company will open its facility to city officials, Mt. San Jacinto College students, members of California Manufacturing Technology Consulting, California Network, members of the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, the media and other guests during Manufacturer’s Day.
The heavy equipment used by the industry to lift the precast pipes and other structures will be on display.
The celebration begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude with tours at 11 a.m. by Forterra officials and employees. The guests will hear from a panel of industry experts to share their success in the manufacturing market and what benefits firms like Forterra bring to the community, in addition to the products that go into necessary urban and residential infrastructure.
Leading the celebration will be Menifee’s Economic Development Department staff members. Light refreshments will be served.
