Garage Brewing Co. takes home medals at craft beer competition

TEMECULA – Garage Brewing Co. announced that it was among several Inland Empire craft breweries to garner medals at the 2019 International Los Angeles Beer Competition, Thursday, April 18.

Other Inland Empire breweries to medal include: Last Name Brewing and Rok House Brewing in Upland, Ritual Brewing out of Redlands, Babe’s Barbecue and Brewhouse in Rancho Mirage, Euryale Brewing Company out of Riverside, Black Market Brewing, BJ’s Brewhouse and Wiens Brewing Co. in Temecula and Inland Wharf Brewing in Murrieta.

Garage Brewing tops the list taking home six medals. They received a gold medal for Garage Pale Ale, an international-style pale ale, silver medals for Gin Barrel Gose, a wood and barrel-aged sour beer; Hazy No. 8, a juicy or hazy India pale ale; Mango Hefeweizen, a fruit wheat beer, and bronze medals for Kumquat Brut IPA, a specialty beer, and Sweet Orange Wit, a fruit wheat beer.

The judges’ panel taste tested each beer entered in the annual Los Angeles International Beer Competition and awarded the best beer in various categories with gold, silver and bronze medals.

“It’s rewarding to be recognized because at the production facility we don’t get to interact with the people that drink our beer all that often,” Guy Bartmess, Garage Brewing Co.’s brewmaster, said. “Sometimes the only reward our team gets, besides a cold beer at the end of the day, is when judges that know and appreciate great quality beer recognize our hard work and dedication.”

Garage Brewing Co. opened in Temecula, in 2013 with a focus on brewing quality and exciting craft beers brewed on a 10 barrel system alongside a fast-casual pizzeria, wings, etc. In 2015 the brewing arm expanded to a production facility in Murrieta with a state-of-the-art 30 barrel brewhouse. Numerous Garage Brewing Co. beers have won prestigious gold awards from Great American Brew Festival, Los Angeles International Beer Competition and Sonoma County Fair and California State Fair.

Garage Brewing Co. ensures unsurpassed quality by printing every bottle and can with an easy to find and read best by date.
