MURRIETA — Get Shamrocked Music Festival producers on Friday announced that the annual music festival that featured live Celtic music for the last seven years would not return in 2020.

“Get Shamrocked has been a labor of love to bring high-quality Celtic Music from across the United States and Europe to the southwest Riverside County communities and Southern California at large in a festival environment where people could decompress from the stresses in our daily lives,” a statement read on the Get Shamrocked Facebook page. “Seven Get Shamrocked Music Festivals have come and gone and with all good things there comes a time when they must end, despite our very best efforts.”

Graham Judge and Paull Little, owners of The Shamrock – Irish Pub & Eatery in Murrieta, debuted the festival at Town Square Park in 2012. Over the years, multiple dozens of bands played the Cullen Connolly Stage while attendees indulged in the music, spirits, and shopping offered during each event.

Funds were raised for nonprofit organizations during the course of the festival run as well.

“We want to thank you above all else our fans of the festival, who traveled near and far to support Get Shamrocked throughout the years,” the statement read. “We’re forever grateful of your passion and dedication to our festival. We would be remised if we did not express our gratitude to all the volunteers over the years that helped make the event a wonderful experience for all that attended.”
