HEMET – The Hemet Unified School District invites the public to attend a public hearing, Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the district boardroom, 1791 W. Acacia Ave. in Hemet. The Hemet Unified School District plans to make a determination as to whether each pupil in the K-12 district, including English language learners, has been provided with a standards aligned textbook or other basic instructional materials for classwork and homework as required to complete assignments from the curriculum adopted by the state.
This determination will be made during the regular Hemet Unified School District Board of Education meeting.
The input of parents or community members on this subject of textbooks and instructional materials is important, Tracy Chambers, assistant superintendent of district education services, said.
