AGUANGA (CNS) – A hiker was hospitalized Wednesday night with a snake bite suffered in the unincorporated Aguanga area east of Temecula.
Firefighters responded to the area of Highway 371 and Happy Valley Road about 7:30 p.m. and carried the victim out of the area to a nearby ambulance, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital with stable vital signs, the department said.
The age, gender and name of the victim were not immediately available.
The type of snake that bit the hiker was not disclosed.
