Historic Murrieta Hot Springs 5K race returns in December


MURRIETA – The community is invited out for the Historic Murrieta Hot Springs 5K race Saturday, Dec. 21. Runners will pass natural hot springs, a lake, palm trees, flowers and mosaic tiled paths as they race through Murrieta’s beautiful and historic 46-acre property at Calvary Chapel Bible College. All race proceeds will support college scholarships for international and domestic students with financial needs. Race officials will use digital time tracking, and results will be posted online instantly.

The 5-kilometer race will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 5-kilometer walk will start at 9:30 a.m. A Kids Fun Run 1K will take place at 10:30 a.m. The race packet includes a T-shirt, race bib, finisher medal, welcome packet, bottle of water and fruit. Registration is currently $40 for adults; however, the price will increase to $45 Thursday, Nov. 21, and on race day, the registration will be $55.

Registrants may pick up their T-shirt and race bib starting Thursday, Dec. 19, and Friday, Dec. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. or on race day between 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. For more information, visit www.murrieta5k.com.
