Janae Good hosted several paint and sip parties at Janae’s Hair Cottage salon in Anza. Artist and teacher Sacha Hope presided over the attending ladies with much laughter and artistic creativity ensuing.
The festive event included painting tips from Hope, wine, laughter and more wine.
The group painting lessons are accompanied by wine or other beverages. Many events are used as fundraising for charitable causes.
The attendees enjoyed their time and thanked Hope for her guidance and expertise, Good said.
“Sacha Hope! She is a hoot! She is very fun, patient and a great teacher with step-by-step instructions,” Good said. “Paint and sip parties are always fun and a great ladies night out to meet lovely women in this area.”
For $35, each guest in the class received all the required art supplies for the evening’s project, and each person brought their favorite wine or drink of choice.
“The first class had six people; the second had eight and the last one had 10!” Good said. “Everybody wants to come back, but I have limited space so it fills up fast. They all tell me ‘I needed that’ or ‘I met a new friend’ or ‘Look at what I made!’ There’s no judgment, just support and smiles! Women lifting up women! Lots of laughs. The next one will be in February.”
Good said she hopes to make it a monthly event.
