The Los Angeles Monarchs girls’ baseball club will be hosting a free instructional camp for any and all girls, ages 7-15, who are interested in playing baseball locally. Players will be instructed on throwing, hitting, fielding and base running. The camp will support “Baseball for All,” and any old or unwanted baseball items are being asked for donations, which will go to the Assistance League of Temecula Valley. “Girls can play baseball too and that is what I want them to know,” Monarchs player and 12-year-old Temecula resident Kate Weller said. The camp will be held in Temecula Sunday, Nov. 10, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be provided. Registrants will be notified of the location of the camp once they are signed up online.
