Local residents earn degree from WGU


SALT LAKE CITY – The following local residents have earned their degree from Western Governors University. The online, nonprofit university has graduated over 167,000 students from across the country since its inception in 1997, including 10 from Temecula recently.

Christopher Jenkins and Ryan Augustine have earned a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Christopher Richardson has earned a bachelor’s degree in software development.

Jane Corcoran has earned a master’s degree in business administration, information technology management.

Julieann Cantrell, Valerie Waters, Wendy Ferguson and Ann Fish have earned bachelor’s degrees in nursing.

George Elias has earned a master’s degree in education curriculum and instruction.

Tamara Weitzel has earned a master’s degree in business management and leadership.

Western Governors University has recognized 5,617 undergraduate and 4,302 graduate degree recipients, who have completed their degrees since Oct. 2. Their areas of study include business, K-12 education, information technology and health professions, including nursing.
