Hamilton High School senior Lydia Adams was honored as Hemet Unified School District’s Hamilton High School Student of the Month at the Hemet/San Jacinto Student of the Month Program recognition breakfast in Hemet Thursday, Sept. 19.
Adams and other high achieving students received recognition from the school district, as well as local, county and state government officials. The high school students will compete in scholarship programs. All honorees received backpacks with merchandise and gift cards from sponsors.
Students from seven area high schools spoke at the event.
“A very neat and humbling experience to be a part of,” Lydia’s mother Connie Grove Adams said.
Adams was honored Friday, Sept. 20, at the Hamilton Homecoming football game, when she was named the 2019 Hamilton High School Homecoming Senior Class Princess.
Adams is also the senior class president, captain of soccer and softball teams and student representative for the Hamilton High School’s School Site Council.
She plans to major in anthropology and earn her teaching credential after graduation in 2020.
