Man hurt after jumping from I-15 overpass in Temecula

TEMECULA – A man was injured after jumping from a freeway overpass in Temecula Friday afternoon.

The incident was reported just after 1:30 p.m. at the Winchester Road bridge over Interstate 15, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

According to CHP Officer Mike Lassig, a 22-year-old man jumped from the bridge and landed in I-15’s dirt center divide. The man complained of pain and was transported to a nearby hospital, but was not badly hurt.

Afternoon traffic was slow in the area but was not abnormally impacted by the incident.
