MENIFEE – The city of Menifee has entered into an agreement with the RJ Noble Company for the Goetz Road asphalt overlay project. Project improvements consist of resurfacing the existing road by doing a grind and overlay, as well as restriping and installing the additional signage.
Goetz Road is a main thoroughfare that connects major arteries in Menifee, including throughout Quail Valley and Canyon Lake. The length of the project is approximately 3.12 linear miles. The agreement is valued at $951,428.65, and the project is estimated to take approximately two months, assuming no delays due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
“We are looking forward to this much-needed repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure, and look forward to this improvement to serve our residents in Quail Valley,” city manager Armando Villa said.
The city released a request for proposals in January 2020, and RJ Noble Company was awarded the project based on the California Public Contract Code.
“The city is consistently evaluating needs for infrastructure improvements, and taking steps to remediate issues in a timely manner,” Mayor Pro Tem Matt Liesemeyer said. “We look forward to the Goetz Road project, and to continuing to improve circulation in the city.”
