Menifee named a top workplace for second consecutive year

MENIFEE – For the second consecutive year, the city of Menifee has been named a Top Workplace for 2019 by the Inland News Group. In its sixth year, the annual Top Workplaces program invited hundreds of businesses and thousands of employees in Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties to take the survey from which the results determine the final list of Top Workplaces in the region.

“Receiving this distinction two years in a row is a great honor and it shows that the culture and the model of continued success that we’re building in Menifee is sustainable,” City Manager Armando Villa said. “We have been holistic in our approach to building a culture that makes our employees feel valued and as we continue to grow, we have a clear direction for the city and for each of our employees. Having that clear sense of where we are headed and why, while being part of a team that is working together to achieve a common goal has been paramount in the effort to create a culture of value and purpose.”

For its rankings, the Top Workplaces program places employers into groups of similar size. Menifee was ranked in the Small Companies category and was one of only 14 selected from the region and the only city in Riverside County to receive the distinction. In total, 35 companies were selected from public, private, nonprofit and government agencies.

The Top Workplaces program was set up by Energage in 2006, along with Inland News Group/Press Enterprise and is based on the belief that “the most successful companies are the ones that employees believe in.”

A company’s designation and ranking as a Top Workplace is determined and calculated by Energage’s Workplace Dynamics – a leading research firm on organization health and employee engagement – based on employee responses to its tried and tested survey. Each year, more than 1 million people complete the survey about their respective organizations. Survey questions ask employees to rate the company on such topics such as benefits, leadership, training, compensation and most important, workplace culture.
