Menifee ranks as one of America’s Top ‘Boomtowns’

MENIFEE – In a national ranking by the financial website SmartAsset, Menifee has ranked as the No. 35 “Top Boomtown in America.” To compile the list, SmartAsset looked at the most recently available data for large cities across the country based on population, business and economic growth, as well as positive marks in employment and household income metrics.

“Menifee is continuing to be recognized for the hard work and smart planning that has led to the booming success our residents are enjoying today,” Mayor Bill Zimmerman said. “The dedication to the overall vision that has been set by city leadership has paved the way for business growth, job creation and a safe, thriving community.”

According to SmartAsset, “boomtowns” are characterized by prosperity and robust development and are desirable cities to take out a mortgage. Economic growth within these cities provides employment opportunities and attracts new residents and businesses.

“The methodology used to determine the top ‘boomtowns’ in America illustrates not only the planning that has led to our current growth and success, but is also a key indication of continued prosperity and opportunities in Menifee,” City Manager Armando Villa said. “As the seventh fastest growing city in California, a Top Workplace, a Top 100 U.S. City to Raise Kids, Top Place to Live and one of California’s Safest Cities, the Top Boomtown designation adds to Menifee’s growing allure as one of the country’s premier cities.”
